About Michele

Actor, Singer, Writer, Director, Producer. Michele Lyman was raised in Brooklyn New York, and sang in her elementary school and junior high choirs. She also performed in the hallways of her Flatbush Brooklyn neighborhood - singing and dancing with friends for their parents and other children. After seeing the movie Fame, she became determined to audition for and get into the High School of Music and Art. Receiving the acceptance letter as a voice major was an unbelievable joy.

Michele caught the acting bug as a freshman at Sarah Lawrence College after auditioning for Song Class and entering the Workshop Theatre. It was a fabulous ride that ignited her love of all things theater. A couple of years after college Michele took a lengthy hiatus from the biz to focus on raising her newborn daughter. In 2015 she returned to doing this thing that kept calling at her and is so glad she finally listened. Michele has always written poems, songs and short stories. She nourished this interest in college by taking creative writing classes.

In July 2017 she wrote her first short film Getting Over, which she produced, directed and starred in. Getting Over has become an award winning film on the festival circuit. In 2018, Michele again took on the multi-role responsibility and put her second film Acceptables in the can. Acceptables has also had a very successful film festival run. Both films are now available to view on Amazon Prime and on Michele's YouTube channel.
