Hey all! In my quest to work in the world of comedy writing, I was advised to do some stand-up if I had the chops for it. I recently moved to NYC and I'm trying to find fun supportive rooms with open mics and other comics/comedy writers to crash them with. Any other writers or actors out there perusing Stand Up? How is it going? Any good tips for meeting other comics in a new place?
