Okay, I think it is now 8 or 9 days ago that I joined stage32. Time for a short resume as it was tough and great at the same time to join this magic witch circle of creative filmmakers all over our wonderful blue planet. My first experience: I immediately discovered the lounge to me where everyone can start a new discussion and ask what ever weighs heavy on his/her mind. Funny is to see what comes out the longer such a post is discussed. Already with introducing myself I got a request from a film director for my short screenplays by the first comment. (Check it: https://www.stage32.com/lounge/introduce_yourself/Screenwriting-Girl) - Quite a start here! But the cooler is: through my comments to many discussions I got more requests from directors who are interested in my scripts! =) - Yep, true story! By email like: Hey, I just read your post and totally agree, checked your loglines, you have a style I like, please send me this or that. Even more, one director sent me a personal link to his new film (with a keyword) and asked me for feedback and review which I gave him of course what made him happy as I wrote a proper real 1 page review which was more he obviously expected, because he then wrote me a long email of appreciation which was more than I respected and so I won a new friend now and we never heard of each other before. :)) Then out of the blue I was asked by a wonderful filmmaker from NYC who said he would live at the Upper East Side - what I will have to check my next time in New York ;-) as this is a great place to live as we all know - to join him as a co-writer. Sounds cool? Yes! New experience to me, we will see whether this will work or not, but so far it sounds and feels great. So, why am I posting this? Just to share what is possible on stage32 within only a few days and without living in Hollywood. But I'm also working on living in California one day as I supplied for the Green Card Lottery and will get the result this month. Many words just to say: I want to thank all of you who welcomed me in such a nice way as a fellow screenwriter and who admit me to the magic circle. It's great to be with you. Special thanks to: stage32 and RB :)) Love, Elisabeth

Thank you, Shannon. Yes, it was really interesting how much everything you do here is read and leads to feedback. I'm not only grateful for this network but also for the internet which makes it all possible and the world smaller somehow. So, I think I can't live without it anymore - at least not businesswise. All the best for you too! :)

True, Pete. I shared it to show that with interacting you can reach fast results which lead to more. It's a little like the old Nike slogan 'Just do it' and it goes on. So, now after this post, I suddenly get daily requests for reviews and I am no reviewer at all. I'm here to pitch and sell my screenplays and get them produced. On the other hand watching other people's stuff and giving proper reviews leads to more connections and I learn a lot.

Great, Brandi, that would be cool. It's quite a while ago that I played my flute as it is not allowed in my apartment. Am looking for a new home now. Look forward to your compositions. :)

Well, looks as if my stage32 success story continued in its second week. What can I say? @Steven Thanks for posting it publicly as I probably hadn't believed it via email. We will have to discuss this, but please personal and in private emails then. What a cool story!

Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Laura!
Above all a very friendly generous group of people. I am new and enjoy it all. Download our Simply Books APP at the Apple Store and then download for free Daniel Goleman's Harvard Business Review article, Emotional Intelligence based on his best seller. A 45-60 audiobook. This group is adept at this but even great musicians practice rigorously....

EM, just noticed your comment about not being allowed to play your FLUTE in your apartment! Makes me grateful for my neighbors, who agreed to let me practice drums between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm. Hope you find better digs, soon.

Elisabeth, as much as you feel Stage32 set you up for the contact, you might remind yourself that you have talent. I'm pleased for you that you've had the chance to showcase. Knock em dead.. or is that "break a pencil?"

Thank you Edward! Charles, yes I am looking for quite a long time, but my cat isn't either welcome everywhere what makes it really difficult... thanks for wishing me luck. :) Lawrence, thanks for these nice words and encouraging me. It is true, the most I am and have to be grateful for my talent. Michael, thank you. But I yet don't know if I will go there. California is more my place as it is sunny, warm, with long beaches, waves to surf and houses with a view over the ocean.
