I'm a huge fan of film noir, and I've seen Double Indemnity, The Maltese Falcon, and Out of the Past. Could anyone give me suggestions of other good films noirs (my French is rusty, sorry, but I think that's the right spelling) to watch? I'm also writing one myself right now, so this counts as research! :P

They Live by Night is a fav of mine. The Third Man is an astonishing film. Don't miss The Big Sleep. I'm partial to Kubrick's The Killing written by Jim Thompson. In a Lonely Place is as dark as they come.
I'm not a film noir fan tbh. did recently see The Third Man. Yeah it was okay. I guess i might have liked it more if I had seen it at the time of release.
