Video Game Design Network at Stage 32

Let me begin by stating I love everything about this site and its community. Yes, this post contains a proposal that, if accepted, might effect a little change in who makes up that community. However the truth remains that what we have going here is fantastic and shouldn't be altered into anything unrecognizable. This place is as advertised and then some. Now, here comes the other foot: Truth be told, as much as I love this site, I've only found it marginally useful in my main field of creative work. I am a game designer and script writer who works (these days) almost exclusively on video game projects. Stage 32 doesn't have much support or services geared toward this field and thus, I am forced to look elsewhere. Ah, now you are wondering, "Why don't you simply look elsewhere, Mr. Weeden, instead of posting this topic?" To understand that, refer to the first paragraph above. This site has a mixture of features and a network unlike anywhere else on the internet. More importantly, however, is the control that the individual has over their recruitment process, in finding a job, funding for a project, people to fill a project roster, etc. Similar networking sites for gaming are controlled by their founding entities and are NEVER one stop shops for funding, manpower, and networking. Places like Gamasutra and Indie Team-up don't accomplish for its industry what Stage 32 does for its members. My proposal is fairly simple: Let's create a Discussion area for Game Design or Video Game Projects as well as appropriate keywords for profiles (such as Game Designer, Video Game Story Writer, 3d Artist, Motion Capture Artist, etc) so that those of us who work in that world can finally have a safe and free place to network. Let's see if we can get experts in Game Design or 3d World Building to post articles or host classes like some do with Screenwriter or Cinematography. Not only would people like me find this sort infinitely more useful, but it would expand the creative network at Stage 32 considerably. Naturally, I am eager to hear the thoughts of the community on this matter or I would not have posted this publicly. Is Stage 32 happy to remain a networking service that only caters to filmmaking and theatre or is there room for game design here as well?
