Plump 3D characterisations dumped on us from the opening credits, like a tumultuous, tsunami of emotion & attitude can be just as detrimental to a plot line as an inhibited, unrealised 3D character, with the depth of a macrocosm. I prefer characters who are well-rounded with diametrically-opposed traits and beliefs that consequently can lead to unexpected actions and choices. Isn't that how most people are in real-life, too?
