So I have a question, more so seeking advice. I was asked to work on a "short film" with deferred payment. I began to ask questions, come to find out, it's actually a feature and they are not supplying anything. This will be a month and a half of no pay and my time, for only copy, credit, and meals. Should I just let this go, or should I work on this feature? They managed to get a whole crew together, but from what it seems, no one will be getting paid, correction deferred payment. I am 1 of 2 makeup artist, and they want nationality change, old age makeup, etc.

It's not a scam but filmmakers prey on Hope and Dreams of Talent and Crew. What is bullshit if they are not reimbursing Make-Up supplies. Forget about deferred payment; they always say that. good luck tracking them down a year from now or 2 years+++. Do these filmmakers have Insurance policy? I would check on Insurance. 6 week shoot is a long time without $$$$. The food's gonna suck and You're out of pocket on travel expenses.

I'm smarter than that lol. They haven't mentioned anything about a policy, contracts, nada. Exactly and I have a standard 9-5 job that I work, so missing 6 weeks of work is insane.
