Hi, I'm financing a short film called POLLY with a group of female filmmakers from London who have come together to create a story that will explore the pressures of societal femininity and how young people are able to combat this. This exciting new project promotes self-beauty, self-acceptance and self-worth, rejecting stereotypes of beauty and celebrating diversity. Also as a team of women, we're fighting to break into and change a male dominated industry. Our hope is to partner with companies (think Dove, Always, Simple, etc.) which can sponsor/support us. Does anyone have any companies/contacts/schemes they could recommend speaking to? Thanks!

Our guess would be your best bet is going through their PR services first.

I read in another thread it would be wise to search for sponsoring companies on LinkedIn. For a short film I would try younger companies to ask for a sponsorship not the famous brands.

I would recommend companies like Avon or Mary Kay who are looking to reach a wider audience.

Try Rodan and Fields

Maybe not sponsorship as such but I somehow think you should definitely get in touch with the Guardian for promotional reasons. Ps Wow, am I really the only bloke here?

Ha! Kasper, all help is needed I am sure!
So how's the project going?
Thanks for all the suggestions guys! It's going well - we're in the middle of casting & starting to move into pre-production so it's moving :)

Perhaps try with some charities, that maybe deal with the subject your story is about.
