Filmmaker in Fresno, Ca.

Hi, I am William McLain Jr. Over the last 25 years, I have had a wide variety of experience in entertainment production. I started in high school, by shooting live performances for bands that eventually led me to a position as a cameraman on a local TV show. In 8 years of working at my local TV station, I learned multiple aspects of studio production; culminating in my role as a floor director. Moving from the area, I was unable to find further work in the industry. I continued to create independently with the development of my own avant-garde band Operation Anal Probe. In co-operation with Peptotapeworm Productions, I was able to push the boundaries of audio and video production with our music videos and live performances. In 2010, I was contacted by the Telemagica Gathering Festival to create an opera as the highlight event for the festival. In the desire to advance my skills; I decided to attain a degree from Full Sail University to solidify my credentials, make connections, expand my skills, get familiar with newer and more professional equipment. My current skills and understanding of the film industry helped me excel in my classes and impressed many of my teachers and peers. I am currently a member at CMAC, my local media access station; where I am producing my own content for local broadcast and assisting in other member’s projects. In 2017, I developed my brand, The Dream Axis, and started producing short videos. I inspire to create alternate perceptions of reality that make the audience question what they believe to be the truth. I aim to bring dreams and nightmares to life. I am highly influenced by old B-films, Grindhouse, Cult films, David Lynch, Roger Corman, Stanley Kubrick, Robert Rodriguez, John Waters In addition to my own projects, I would enjoy working with other like-minded filmmakers.
