William Mclain Jr.

I am a current student at Full Sail University with over 20 years of experience in entertainment production. I started by shooting live performances for bands that led me to a position as a cameraman on a local TV show. In 8 years working at my local TV station, I learned every aspect of studio production; with my final position being floor director. Unable to find further work in the industry, I continued to create independently with the development of my own avant-garde band Operation Anal Probe. In co-operation with Peptotapeworm Productions, I was able to push the boundaries of audio and video production with our music videos. In 2010, I was contacted by the Telemagica Gathering Festival to create an opera as the highlight event for the festival. I decided to my degree from Full Sail to advance my credentials, make connections I needed, expand my skills, get familiar with newer and more professional equipment. My current skills and understanding of the film industry helped me excel in my classes and impressed many of my teachers and peers. I inspire to create alternate perceptions of reality that make the audience question what they believe to be the truth. I am highly influenced by old B-films, Grindhouse, Cult films, David Lynch, Roger Corman, Stanley Kubrick, Robert Rodriguez, John Waters. I aim to bring dreams and nightmares to life. In addition to my own projects, I would enjoy working with other like-minded filmmakers.
