I've written a love story from the Middle Ages, a true story. Some success with the Nicholl and Austin Competitions a while ago. Would love to connect with people interested in this kind of story, not sure Hollywood is!
Hi Patricia, I studied Middle English and medieval English life in college and am still interested in anything medieval. Definitely interested in your story, it sounds awesome!
Where did you study? Dramatizing the Middle Ages can be challenging because it's a different culture. It hasn't been done very often successfully - except for stories like Robin Hood which are more myth than history.
Hi Patricia, Middle English/medieval life and literature was part of my studies at UF and the interest never left me. I was always interested in how normal people actually lived back then. And I do agree that the medieval culture, such as their mindset, the way they viewed life and the world around them, was so completely different back then that it's difficult to relate and reconstruct truthfully. Which I think makes it all the more fascinating. Robin Hood was a good movie :)
I'm writing a crime drama that takes place in 6th Century Scotland. Fiction, but still hard as hell. Crime solving tech is hard but I'm using alchemical "magic" to get there. IM me if you want to talk.
HI Patricia, Nice to hear about Austin wins ! I posted tonight; Check out some of my music - some are love story sounding. Have a wonderful week.

Hi Katharina,
There’s always Norton’s music history books.
Think they have it on a website, via educational cost, where you can view many Different music history periods / timelines, and topics, ie
Madrigal and Secular Song in the
16th century (in my book - chap.10).

I'm still outlining.

I can't imagine writing a crime story!
Madrigal music is beautiful.
