Finale episodes for Game of Thrones, Dexter, Lost and The Sopranos are examples of popular television shows that many fans were less than thrilled with when they aired. Last night, David Milch was able to revive Deadwood, a show that was cancelled 13 years ago. From a screenwriting and broadcast perspective, I believe Milch provided Deadwood fans with a genuinely satisfying finale to the series. And though some reviewers have suggested that the show could come back for another possible movie, If I were Milch, I would leave it be..
If you could rewrite the finale episode to a series you love, which show would you select?

Sons Of Anarchy.
I don't envy those writers honestly. It's hard to please everyone with a show ending. Haven't seen deadwood movie yet though plowing through seasons to refresh my memory.
Entourage
"Gilligan's Island."
Reaching way back in the closet of oldie moldies - Mel Dinner & Nichol.
Billions!
Kay, Get Shorty was picked up for a third season, so it wasn't a Series Finale. It will be back in 2019 for 7 episodes instead of the 10 it had the previous two seasons.

Thought the final ended dully
Dexter. I avidly watched whole series boxset twice now and the ending is “stale”. He grows a hillbilly beard and goes off grid in the sticks, with a maudlin girlfriend waiting in the wings. It should end with a new girlfriend, who comes with even more history than him and he should have somehow managed to still live mainstream. He is “Dexter” after all and one of his main attributes was hiding, whilst under the spotlight, so it didn’t seem right he went out to grass in some workman’s hut. Also Deborah his sister should not have been killed off but a question left in audience minds “Will she survive?” The end was an anti climax because he did not remain Dexter the Master of the Game, more like he was bowing out gracefully.
