After graduating from Chapman University’s film school, Knox started the glorious life of a producer’s assistant. He eventually made the jump to creative executive for Craig Zadan and Neil Meron’s Storyline Entertainment where he worked on several high-profile television movies (Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella starring Whitney Houston and Brandy) and features including Miramax’s Chicago (which would go on to win six Academy Awards including Best Picture). Knox was eventually raised to Storyline’s Executive Vice-President of Motion Picture production where he was responsible for finding, packaging and producing the Warner Bros. hit, The Bucket List, starring Jack Nicholson & Morgan Freeman and directed by Rob Reiner. Knox was also a co-producer on the movie musical Hairspray, starring John Travolta, Christopher Walken, Queen Latifah and Michelle Pfeiffer.
In 2014 Knox produced the independent thriller, The Barber, starring Scott Glenn and Stephen Tobolowsky, which premiered at The Busan Film Festival and released in theaters the following year. In 2015 he produced and co-directed the motorsports documentary, Behind The Indianapolis 500 With Parnelli Jones.
Knox is currently in post-production on the feature film, Static, scheduled to be released by The Orchard in September, 2019 as well as the documentary feature, Breaking Bread.
