I’ve lived in Utah for 11 years now and I’ve fluctuated between working in film (art director) and college instructor.
I studied film directing at Art Center in Pasadena, CA (MFA). And now I want to readjust my course and direct and produce (I am fearful because of zero experience in producing). Having the crazy notion of producing my own content as a career is unsettling.
I’ve shot a short (poc) over the Summer. My DP requested to edit it and I thought that may be a good option.
Meanwhile I push freelance a little bit of graphic art for productions. I do have both a graphic design degree & Illlustration. Wherever to make some mula.
Thayne what a interesting name, welcome to Stage32 . That's what great about the industry so many things we can do or just go for it. You never know where it will lead you. Have a great day.

Thank you, Cylinda! Im striving to go for it. What about you?
Hi Thayne, thanks for sharing. I couldn't help but notice, we share a similar background not in terms of location (I'm in Melbourne, Australia) but in graphic design and illustration. I often design my own posters for my screenplays, but like you, I want to produce my own content - but without like-minded people who are as passionate as myself on my projects, I can't possibly do it on my own. Don't give up!

Hi Marina! Thank you for your comment! I really appreciate that and to also know that we are film-twinners! Its funny how life takes us on paths that we may never had considered previously. And often these paths are full of potholes, twists and turns and bumpy!
