I'm not in the film industry. I'm a novelist and freelance editor, mostly books. I'm on Stage 32 to learn more about the industry. I have several award-winning novels - mystery and sci-fi thrillers - that I think lend themselves to film adaptations. Two of them are already available as audio books, with two more completed and waiting for final production approval, and two more currently in production. For the audio books, I work with two professional voice actors.
I hope everyone is staying healthy. It's strange, though. As a writer and editor, I work in isolation at home. So why is the mandatory stay at home order driving me crazy?

With you, Nick. I like to dig in at Starbucks. Otherwise, home is good. But now I'm having withdrawal from the coffee place and thinking of all kinds of reasons to go to lots of places I hardly ever go!

Hey Martin! You are welcome here! In fact, IP is in high demand now by studios, producers, filmmakers, etc. There are even a few producers on Stage 32 who might be interested in considering them for adaptation.
Thanks, Jason. I hope you're right. I see a lot of other novelists here are scriptwriters as well. I know nothing about script writing. Wrote a one act play once. Never sold, so I turned it into a short story and it got published. I guess old dogs and new tricks, as they say.
I think the most important thing to do is network, in person somehow, and hopefully you can build a relationship with someone who understands the spirit of your stories and wants to see them become a film. You have to find people who share the passion for your stories and can imagine them on the screen. I think its a lot to do with meeting the right person at the right time.
