Screenwriting : How's your week going? by Phillip E. Hardy, "The Pro From Dover"

How's your week going?

This week I received two script requests and convinced a producer to pitch my new script to some of his contacts. I also accepted a new S32 connection, who immediately asked me for a favor. And another person that wanted to enlighten me about an organization called the Illuminati sent me a private message. Perhaps you've heard of them? I took the imaginary sign off my forehead that said This guy may be a mark.

How’s your week going?

I do believe they sell lights. If not I am opening a shop called that.

Christiane Lange

:D There are loads of scammers and spammers on this platform for some reason.

John Ellis

I keep getting text messages from unknown numbers that contain a link that I just have to download, right?! FOMO! How did my number get on such a list? Yikes!

WL Wright

lol Phillip that is good news mixed with the bizarre that seems to be the writer life. Cheers!

Congratulations! Working on various projects (book reviews, partnerships, obtaining ratings on projects in preparation for pitching)

Tasha:

Sounds like you're putting forth a great effort.

Stefano Pavone

Trying to decide if I want to go back to college one last time for a Spanish-language course.

Jim Boston

Phillip, I'm not only making new connections here at Stage 32 and on Script Revolution, I'm working on developing characters for two new screenplays I'm trying to launch this week...and cooking up an outline/scene list for an additional script.

What's more, I started using Prewrite last Sunday and I'm running my existing scripts through it. (Even just got through entering Stage 32's Logline Contest!)

But YOU'RE the one on fire right now, Phillip! Many congrats to you, and all the VERY BEST to you, too!

Doug Nelson

I start teaching my screenwriting class in about a week - I guess I better learn how to write one this week.

WL Wright

Love seeing a sense of humor coming back in this forum. Nice!

Jim:

Thank you.

Dan G:

I finished a new pitch deck yesterday.

Richard P. Alvarez

The illuminati is fake.

They do have good cookies though.

Phillip "Le Raconteur" Hardy Thank you for your kind words. I'm way ahead of schedule. Stage 32 has allowed me to develop, network and work towards my goals.

William Schumpert

Still waiting to hear back about a pitch that I made. Also need to contact about a gig I worked on. Otherwise it’s back to writing my novella and advertising.

Stephen DiLauro

Robert Anton Wilson and another writer wrote The Illuminati Trilogy in the 70s as a satire. Of course, some nut job conspiracy theorists couldn't resist believing it.

As I recall, the concept started with a small secret society called the Illuminatus, in Germany in the 1800s.

Kiril Maksimoski

Just entered a logline contest here on Stage 32...let's see what happens... :)

Tom Batha

The Illuminati is real. I know. We used to meet up on Thursday nights in Billy Bob's rumpus room and drink Burgie beer.

Dash Riprock: I've heard tell of such things. In my town we tar and feather folks like that.

Doug Nelson

Uncle Phil - that's why some of us Druids don't live in your town.
