Hello, Not sure if this is the correct lounge placement to bounce questions and concerns. I'm in preproduction of an unforbidden-vengenace-thriller pilot to be pitched. I have read so many different views, pros and cons on this subject and I'm more confused than I was before inquiring. I would like to hear your thoughts if filming a pilot to be pitched is a good gamble.

I am trying to figure out what is the best way to reach out and pitch my pilot idea to networks. I honestly don't know where to start. I have the goods I just need to find out who to send them to. This is a trailer for the project.

Hi Terri, have you considered shooting a trailer or a proof of concept short? It might help convey the tone, style, and premise but at a fraction of the cost of shooting an entire pilot. Love it or hate it, the first Saw film was financed off the back of a short/proof of concept. It might also help you see the strengths and weaknesses and to hone your ideas.

I imagine a produced pilot would be a significant advantage if done well.
