Introduce Yourself : Hi, Stage 32! by Maurice Vaughan

Maurice Vaughan

Hi, Stage 32!

How is everyone doing?

I'm an experienced screenwriter. I mainly write micro-budget scripts and low-budget scripts.

I love to create and write strong, flawed characters and unique stories. I strive to write scenes that haven't been written before.

I've had success on Stage 32 in 2020. I'm currently pitching short scripts, a low-budget feature script ("Kill the Monster"), and a low-budget reality TV show ("Huge!").

Looking forward to connecting with you. Let me know if you want feedback on a script or film (or TV series, web-series, etc.).

Martha Caprarotta

Hello, Maurice Vaughan ! You've had quite a few writing jobs thru Stage 32, congrats! Have you participated in the Coverage Report bi-monthly Monday sessions? You can submit your script to Lit Kilpatrick for group feedback or give your feedback on other members' scripts. And have you joined the Pitch Practice sessions on Thursdays? This Thursday (and every last Thursday of the month) is Happy Hour! Great way to network with fellow members. Hope to see you at one of these programs.

Karen "Kay" Ross

LOVE this poster, Maurice! I know we have a few producers that focus on low-budget horror films. You know Jason will steer you clear on who to pitch to (J.Mirch@stage32.com), but I'd recommend Kamron Hakemy:https://www.stage32.com/happy-writers/pitch-sessions/Pitch-Kamron-Hakemy-Wednesday-March-3rd-2021 or David Harris: https://www.stage32.com/happy-writers/pitch-sessions/Pitch-David-Harris-...

Hi, Martha. Thanks for the comment. I've been thinking about Coverage Report. Thanks for letting me know about it and the Pitch Practice sessions. I think they might benefit me.

Maurice Vaughan

Hi, Karen. Thanks for the comment and the recommendations. The poster didn't cost much.

Do you recommend anyone for reality TV shows?

Karen "Kay" Ross

Maurice - Ooo, yes, Catherine Keithley is all about the unscripted TV, although I’m not sure if she’s available for pitching. With Unscripted, I usually recommend a Pitch Deck Review and I think Keithley is available for that.

Giovanni Mota

Heeyyyy... Nice poster!

Maurice Vaughan

Thanks, Karen. I'll look her up on here.

Maurice Vaughan

Thanks, Giovanni. How are you?

Giovanni Mota

I'm fine and you?

I'm a producer in NYC

If you're around send me a message, maybe I can help you with your scripts?

Giovanni Mota

I might visit South Carolina by the end of March...... Lets see with this pandemic going on.

Maurice Vaughan

I'm doing fine, Giovanni. I'll send you a message.

Barry Hollywood

I have a client who wrote 45 pg script for a musical with different elements of sci-fi. its supposed to be feature any advice for him

Maurice Vaughan

Hi, Barry. To make his script into a feature script, he needs to outline the story more so he can have enough to fill a feature script. He's 35 pages away if he wants an 80-page script. More pages if he wants a longer feature script.

James L. Lytle III

Hey Maurice, check out my logline and synopsis of my nine episode saga "Warriors of MA" on my profile. I could use the feed back from you. Glad to e-you Bro, have a great week.

Maurice Vaughan

Hi, James. Ok, I'll take a look and give feedback. Have a great week also.
