About Martha

Martha Caprarotta is a screenwriter and published author who writes heartfelt, Hallmark-style screenplays, faith friendly features, and four-quadrant action adventures. Her Christmas rom-com THE TWELVE DISHES OF CHRISTMAS EVE was a finalist in Emerging Screenwriters' Family and Holiday Competition and a semi-finalist for Emerging Screenwriters Genres Competition. She is currently revising a faith-friendly feature inspired by true events in Haiti, and is writing new Hallmark-style Christmas screenplays. She is also doing research for an historical drama feature adaptation of her book FIRE AND FORGIVENESS, the true story of a nun and her brave schoolgirls who were caught in the midst of the Civil War burning of Columbia, SC.

Martha is a former producer and writer of live and recorded local TV specials, and former local TV news producer, writer, reporter, videographer, and editor. Her awards include a local Emmy, a NATPE International Iris Award, and Alfred L. duPont-Columbia University Awards citation. She is also a former technical editor for the National Air and Space Intelligence Center. (She can neither confirm nor deny if she encountered any little green aliens there, wink-wink!)
