So, I’ve been a part of Stage 32 for over seven years and have never had to courage to participate in the Introduce Yourself forum. I’ve recently started to take my acting career seriously and realized that I need to overcome my fear of public speaking (or posting) because that is a big part of being a working actor. I’ve always been so impressed with people who can put themselves out there and not get nervous or anxious. When I was younger, I had no issue with it, but as I get older, doing it for business reasons makes me feel uneasy and anxious; don’t get me wrong, I can usually strike up a friendly conversation with strangers, it’s just when it is business-related I get nervous. Anyway, I am looking forward to starting this journey with all of you and creating long-term friendships and business relations.

Christopher Thomas Thank you! My favorite genres would be thrillers and comedy. I know those are polar opposite but they are typically the ones that I enjoy the most.

Welcome Eddie! I just finished reading Larry Moss's wonderful book Intent to Live. As an actor in the biz over 25 years who learned as a late bloomer by trial and error I wish I'd had it early on. I highly recommend it to you. May your success grow day by day!

You're not alone - I've been on stage since I was a baby (literally performing as a ballerina since I was 3 years old) and I still get nervous every single time!
