Hello, All! I've been on Stage 32 for a few years now. I started out in audio drama, and eventually moved into writing screenplays. I've sold two features; a western (filmed and awaiting release) and a horror (currently shooting). I also have three options on the table with three production companies - for a Romcom and two Christmas movies. I've completed 21 screenplays in various genres - including two animated musicals. I write every day, and often long into the night. I love it! I just started searching for management representation. We'll see how that goes lol!

Hey, Jerry! Great to see you, and happy Introduce Yourself Weekend! I don't think I knew that you started out in audio drama. Ooo! Have you ever watched a TV series and thought, 'that would totally work as an audio drama'? I may be rewatching a CW show and I can totally just listen to it (okay, 90% of the time).
Oh, cool! Good luck on your search for reps! Have you pitched to any managers here on Stage 32? Definitely reach out to our Director of Script Services, Jason Mirch, who is excellent at matching projects with potential executives (or managers, in your case): J.Mirch@stage32.com

That's terrific, Jerry. Very impressive. I hope we have the chance to meet some day.
Thanks, Jack! Maybe we will someday - NJ isn't that far - and don't give up on acting!
hey Karen - yep, 25 years with Colonial Radio Theatre. I wrote 480 scripts (lots of features and several series). One series that reminds me of audio is ALL IN THE FAMILY - because it was written by writers who had worked in radio - thus the crackling dialog. A lot of modern audio is very slow - they are produced like TV shows (crime, mystery) - which works for TV but is a real snooze for audio. The hardest thing I had to learn when I started writing screenplays was to forget my audio style. I was VERY dialog heavy in my early drafts! Took me a while to get over that.
