Hello everyone. I'm having trouble with a USB stick, on which I saved some valuable documents. It doesn't respond when I insert it into a USB port (any USB port). I'm going to need to recover the data, as I didn't think to back it up. I'd be interested to know roughly how much data recovery services charge in the UK. Has anyone made use of such a service in recent years?

Have you tried a different USB port. My mouse stopped working a few weeks back and when I plugeded it into a different port, everything went back to normal.
I've tried several ports - each with the same result. I know the damage is salvageable (I've been told as much by a technician), but I'd still like to keep the repair cost to a minimum.
