Hi everyone, I try and take part in the intros as often as I can. I won't lie, I've beenin a slump lately, feeling I'm constantly swimming upstream as I am not connected to the world of films but I am one determined little bugger I tell you that much. I have huge drive and determination to take full advntage of the fact I was born with a very active mind (I'm late identified autistic adult and proud of it).
I have written and released a number of books with some good succeses and have diversified into adapting my own works into screenplays and also writing new projects that I haven't (yet) released as books.
I am looking for ways to get myself noticed as I am not the best at being seen or known (part of the ASD for me is the social element) but I am improving and have pitched a number of times through Stage32 with some really positive feedback. I've had my first "request" from a pitch and it came at a time I was considering giving up for a while. That said I'm under no illusions I am a very small fish in a very big pond but I am determined to one day get a project seen, noticed and worked with (even if that's on my death bed in 60 years ha ha ha).
Hopefully you'll take pity on the weird English bloke and remind me to keep pushing and say one day I'll find just the right connection to just the right person and thent he world will be my oyster...if not, I can honestly say I love writing and will continue to pour my quirky little heart and brain into the various projects I have swimming around up there.
You can see my current loglines (if you're so inclined) and you can also see the books I've released on my links or under my name online.
Thanks everyone.

Tell Nottingham the world says hello, Tobey Alexander. :) Congratulations on releasing your books, receiving positive feedback on your pitches, and getting your first request!!!
Yes, keep pushing! I'm sure you'll find the right connection. The biggest tip I give members on Stage 32 is to build relationships/network and do it like you're trying to make friends/get to know people. You can do that in the Lounges (www.stage32.com/lounge), the Browse Section (www.stage32.com/people), and the Writers' Room (www.stage32.com/writers-room). You can build relationships with creatives and industry professionals all over the world on Stage 32.

Hi Tobey & welcome - we're all tiny fishes in a very big pond! You have the determination and the passion, and it's everything (With perhaps a touch of recklessness).

Hi Tobey, and I’ve personally never met a weird person who is boring so that’s your silver lining for you there:)

Sounds like you're taking some good steps. If you haven't joined in on the pitch practice sessions with John and Brooklyn I'd recommend it. There are a couple in your same ASD catagory and they do just fine there.

Thanks everyone. Here's hoping for progress, but each pitch and element of feedback I take it and run with it as best I can in the hope it'll be right...one day :)
