What's everyone's thoughts on pitching to seek representation or pitching to producers in this time of uncertainty vis-a-vis the WGA strike?
I just completed a new pilot (and episode/season bible), but a writer friend suggested that it wasn't a good time to pitch to producers and/or representation as they aren't looking to add right now.
Thoughts?
the chances of success are so small, so there is never a good time to present your project. a screenwriter should pitch his projects always and to everyone at any time, even to the devil during Armageddon.
Tim Barley Hi Tim, you can’t let the threat of a strike stop you pitching, but in the main you won’t find representation if you don’t have a track record. The Script Services team can link you with a Producer who can read your screenplay and give you feedback. You can reach the team directly at WriterHelp@stage32.com
