Both thrilled and humbled that BLACK ICE BELOW has been named a Semifinalist in Stage 32's Action Thriller Contest. This entry is a genre cross-over from BIB's usual Sci-Fi contest genre to one of Action Thriller. Recently BLACK ICE BELOW finished as a Finalist, Top 10, at Page International in the SciFi Category. BIB has also won the ScreenCraft SciFi Contest. I'm excited to see BIB's placing in the next round.

Congratulations to every writer who placed as a Semifinalist in Stage 32's Action Thriller Contest and wishing all, the very best of good luck in the coming round. We have all worked hard to come along this far. So, GOOD LUCK everyone!!!!!

Matthew Kelcourse

Congratulations to all who entered and placed. I believe that taking any steps to get your creations out there for feedback, criticism, and judgement is a HUGE step for anyone to take. Best wishes to everyone moving forward :-)

Robert Husted

Holy cow, y’all— can’t believe we made it this far! Many congrats! I’m so honored that my script made the cut AGAIN in the company of so many talented folks.

John Paluszek

Congratulations to everyone who made it this far! This is my first time making it past the quarterfinals and I couldn’t be happier, good luck everyone and keep writing!!!

DT Houston

Congrats to everybody! Including Matthew Kelcourse and @Michael Elliot.

Mike, to your manager who claims your script is "stale," tell him all that "stale" keeps netting you very fresh high-finishes everywhere it friggin' travels. It's not stale, bro. And I don't even need to read it to know. Instead of a manager talking like that, what you probably need is a gifted veteran Director (who's maybe an actual Veteran, too) with a rear-view mirror to Vietnam. Or a next-generation son or daughter of that director, who might just want to pay some homage. Sure, the hey-day of Vietnam-era films is long gone, but that doesn't mean it's impossible to see another one get made. I say, think outside the box and anything is possible. To quote Bill Goldman -- "Nobody knows anything."

Michael Elliott

DT...you misunderstood my meaning and intent. My agent said my synopsis was "stale" because I hadn't touched it in months while I constantly updated the script so some really important changes weren't given their due. The most important, she believes is an expanded love affair between Mike and his gf, Marcy. It's a short scene but she believes it'll have a major impact on the audience, especially women. Can't disagree. Made me tear up and I wrote it!!

Michael Elliott

Hey DT. I appreciate the positive vibe you send out about Nobody's Heroes. It's starting to get noticed beyond Stage 32.

DT Houston

Michael Elliott gotcha. Thanks for the clarification. Sometimes we read things quickly, miss other important info. That was me. I'm glad it's doing well, and wishing you more successes with it. And the others. I saw you got 2 there. Well done!
