Introduce Yourself : Here’s to Sunday and new beginnings! by Connie Barretta

Connie Barretta

Here’s to Sunday and new beginnings!

Believe in the magic of new beginnings.

2023 was a difficult year as I spent most of it in the hospital with my husband and we will forever be grateful to the, so far anonymous, bone marrow transplant donor. Life’s lessons are never where we expect them. Like many of you, I write what I know. I’ve been passionate about one aspect of my life for years and those novels are now in two screenplays. Sprinkled with fiction and characters that I’ve known for so long, I have a difficult time separating the storyline from reality. However, my latest screenplay, “Double Silver Alert” came from the heart as I sat at my husband’s bedside. I look forward to 2024 and all that it inspires. Best wishes to all of you. Let your passion guide you.

Hi Connie, I'm so glad your husband is doing so well. I've been through life altering medical issues myself. It opens you so much. As a person and an artist.

Connie Barretta

I agree with you, Jill. It can make the dark seem a little darker and the oceans seem a little deeper. Thank you for your kind words. Hoping your sun is shining brighter now.
