Hello everyone! I would appreciate any tips/recommendations for what software to use for a sizzle reel. I would love to hear what apps others are using to create an awesome reel. Thanks!
Dianne. Done a couple myself. I use a video program called Wondershare. Then I mainly use pexels.com. They have a huge amount of fee images and videos from various artist around the world. Then I add some music appropriate for the reel. Granted, some of the music is copywritten, but since I'm not monetizing it I guess no one will come after me lol. You can look at them here:
A Video App, I'll go from easy to complex (PowerPoint, Prezi, Screenflow, Descript, Photoshop, DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects)
Thanks Scott & Miquiel! No, I don't have any footage shot so I have to purchase clips and intersperse that/them with stills that I have. Then figure out a sound track. Piece by piece!
Hi Pat! Thank you for the recommendation but I suspect that my skill level is closer to "Video Editing for Dummies" since this will be my first one! :)

Vikki Harris It's a short video that showcases your projects and serves as a portfolio. Hope that helps.
You could generate images from AI and use RunwayML, if you don't have any footage shot.

If you’re not already editing in Premiere or Resolve, you might try Shotcut, which is free.
if you’re looking for free royalty free images and video, try Pixabay.
if you want to pay for select images from Hollywood films to showcase your inspirations, Shotdeck is worth checking out.
