Introduce Yourself : Welcome, welcome! by Jonathan Jordan

Jonathan Jordan

Welcome, welcome!

Hi everyone, I'm Jonathan Jordan...A few years ago, I won Stage 32's Feature Screenwriting Competition with my script "Golden Girl." Since then, I have been hired to pen a script, found a manager, and have optioned another script recently...all of which I can trace back to this amazing platform I've been on since the olden days of 2014. Great place to share knowledge, gain knowledge, and connect...and it keeps getting better.

When I'm not screenwriting, I work in publishing, mostly as a nonfiction book coach and ghostwriter for executives and applying my storytelling skill over there. As such, you can find me dropping into the Authoring lounge as a Thought Leader to weigh in on various publishing topics.

Would love to connect and even if I'm sometimes a bit slow to response to messages, I promise I do get around to them!

I think if it encourages anyone, think about this...when I joined back in 2014, I'd almost given up on writing as a career. I had no special contacts. No special accomplishments to stand out other than a couple minor playwriting awards. Perseverance and a willingness to learn are often the keys you need.

"Perseverance and a willingness to learn are often the keys you need." - Man, I love this quote. I'll add - a willingness to accept networking and relationship building as part of your job. You excel in that area as well, Jonathan Jordan

Jane Tumminello

Love your story, Jonathan! Stage 32 is the best. I connected with a producer here who filmed my short script.
