I would suggest at least a lookbook or pitch deck. That way there is something that can be traced back to you and the date that it was created. If nothing else.
Hi, Dustin Archibald. A finished script is the best option, but I agree with what Amanda Nevarez suggested. At least have a lookbook or pitch deck. Or a treatment.
I have a pitch deck and a treatment ready and I'm currently working on a lookbook. I also have people who are willing to help write a finished script. I just want to be prepared.
So, maybe start working on the script. It'll take a couple of years to get it super solid, right? So, start that process. You could pitch it here, but you're in early development. I guess it's really up to you based on what you are trying to accomplish. Remember, don't put the trailer in front of the hitch. Alternatively, you could try to sell the idea based on what you have now.
With that said, I look forward to hearing about your path and your project.
I'm not sure if you need to have a finished script to pitch through Stage 32's Pitch Sessions or not, but you could email success@stage32.com and find out for sure.
Well I would like to work with Disney. Is there a way I can through Intellectual Property? Like how their project can be used to help keep kids and teens off bad stuff? Like gangs, drugs, and smoking.

You're welcome, Dustin Archibald. You could post the synopsis and pitch deck on your logline page (www.stage32.com/profile/1118921/Screenplay/Asha).

And you could network in the meantime (while the script is being written). Here are blogs on networking: www.stage32.com/blog/tags/networking-41

Yes. When you pitch you must be ready to hand over the script if asked.

What does IP mean?

Kevin Hager It means Intellectual Property. Generally used to refer to content that is already out there like books, games, etc.

Kevin Hager I'm not sure. Usually you would license their property for a fee and then go from there. I don't know how receptive Disney would be.

Well, I think Disney could use their characters to make anti-drug messages and convince kids to avoid gangs.
