Introduce Yourself : Timika Chambers by Timika Chambers

Hi there!

My name is Timika Chambers. I am an Integrative Nutrition Health and Lifestyle Coach with a BSN and MSN degree and over twenty-two years of experience in the healthcare industry. Out of a desperate need to understand what I now know as the cycle of pain, I set my navigation path to learning more about it and gathering tools to undo it. For most of my life, especially in healthcare, I've observed the effects of unhealed wounds and aimed to get to the heart of the matter.

As a child, television shows and movies were pivotal to my quest to become a student of life and learn more about the cycle of pain and, ultimately, how to break it. My genre is drama, specifically family drama, with a dash of humor and a desire to present life issues and potential solutions in empowering and daring ways.

I have been writing on and off for years; initially, I journaled. Then, I started writing poems and book manuscripts. During the 2019 COVID storm, I resumed writing (e.g., children's books, memoirs, poetry, an autobiography, screenplays, nonfiction self-help, etc.) and turned my NaNoWriMo manuscripts into screenplays.

I have multiple drafts of four screenplays:

1. Fifth Generation-Logline: A 16-year-old timid African American math genius breaks a generational pattern to create the legacy he wants.

2. Nicolette- Logline: Desperate to become somebody, an aspiring wounded singer learns fame can't buy true love.

3. Mothers Can Have It All, Can't They? Logline: An overwhelmed, controlling mother learns the real meaning of family.

4. Healing Waters -Logline: A skeptical doctor regains his faith in supernatural healing.

I am in the process of editing.

5. Nature's Superheroes: The Elements-Earth brings forth outcast children to save itself from mass destruction. (originally my son's idea while in 5th grade)

6. When the Air Was Clear-Logline: A despised police officer and a reckless woman uncover a town's secret.

I have other screenplay ideas I'm working on to bring to the script format.

7. The Perfect Fit- Logline: A divorced mother realizes it's not too late to pursue her dreams.

8. I See You- Logline: A visually impaired woman helps a lost youth find his way back home.

And others.........

I want to work with like-minded people (e.g., actors, directors, producers, etc.) who want to display empowering, captivating, truth-stirring storytelling globally.

My hobbies include transforming the foods I love into healthier versions, gardening, watching biographies, comedy, and transformational movies, reading, and spending time with my husband, two children, family, and friends.
