Screenwriting : Third Pitch Attempt by Justin Groats

Justin Groats

Third Pitch Attempt

I just had my third pitch attempt. This time, it was on call. I confidently said all the things I needed to say, but I went on to 7 minutes, she was only able to ask one question. I am so anxious right now, I hope this one gets through, fingers crossed.

Mark Deuce

Best of luck Justin Groats and congratulations of grinding!!

Bill Albert

Good luck. You just have to get used to waiting.

Sometimes it is a numbers game. What helps me is making a google doc charting who I pitched to, how I felt about the pitch, length, general feeling of their interest, and their actual response...etc. It helps make it feel more like a process to understand than feeling too hung up on the outcome of each pitch. It also helps give you a bird's eye view of how to hone your pitch based on feedback.
