Nonfiction. My book is about my struggle to represent Alvin Ridley, a failed TV repairman and small-town malcontent who was accused of holding his wife captive for decades before killing her. The producers of Forensic Files called it "A case that simply defies belief. You can't make something like this up!" Years after the trial, we learn of Alvin's neurodivergence, explaining much of the conflict between attorney and client. Alvin's reclusive wife, Virginia, slowly revealed her own story just before the trial, and spoke from the grave in defending her husband. Looking for serious interests in film adaptation. Represented by Linda Konner Agency.
