The new draft of PIRATES VS ALIENS is complete! And I need readers! So if you'd like to read a fun (I hope) sci-fi/adventure script, and believe you can get me your notes by January 24th (that's 5 weeks away, should be plenty of time), then let me know and I'll send it along!

Here is how I do. Multiple members have sent me network requests. Mostly writers. So I send them the following message (subject line "Let us help each other") :
Hello,
Since you are a writer who wants to network with me.
Would you like to read my new screenplay? Feel welcome to suggest whatever improvement you can.
Just give me your email address, and I will send my latest screenplay immediately. 93 pages.
And of course, feel welcome to ask if there is anything I can help you with.
Best,
Göran
About half tell me that they are willing to read. So I have received many useful comments in this way.

Göran Johansson Cool! I usually just put out a post like this when I need readers on a new script. USUALLY, I get about 20+ people agree to red. This one I've only got 10 so far (spread across 3 social platforms). Which I don't get. PIRATES VS ALIENS... I don't care who you are, that just sounds like a fun time! ;)

Gabriel Karkovsky It won't let me DM you. :(

Hey, Travis Seppala. Are you and Gabriel in each other's network?

Dear Travis, nice that you liked what I wrote. Admin here at Stage32 wants members to collaborate, so I have a tendency to assume that when people send me network requests, they are friendly.

I could use some fresh eyes on a dark comedy I wrote, if you're game to swap.

Scott, it is not clear for me if you ask me or Travis. But if you send me your email address, we can read each other's scripts.

Scott Sawitz I can of course do script swaps, but comedy isn't really my thing... so not sure how helpful I'll be other than story notes (I don't find much funny, so I almost never watch comedies either. I can count on my hands the number of comedies that've actually made me LOL).
