Introduce Yourself : Actor, Screenwriter & Director by Alain Leccia

Alain Leccia

Actor, Screenwriter & Director

Well, I haven't really taken part to these kind of introductions so let's change that. Born and raised in Corsica, I started making super 8 short films at the age of 12 before learning how to write a screenplay during my teenage years.

I moved to LA at 17, where I learned acting, took part in a couple of USC & AFI students short films, played on stage at the Berubian Theatre as Stranger in the Vampire Masquerade and also got my first time working on a video game dubbing several characters.

Along my way, I wrote as many screenplays as I could, most of them being sci-fi features such as "Dark Los Angeles" which I developed with the help of Kevin Pike, a sequel to Prometheus (before Covenant's production) following Dan O'Bannon's teachings and several short films.

My best scripts such as "Among" and "Aground" have won a couple of writing contests internationally and a short film I developed in France called "Disavowed", an action short, which got some recognition on the web for it was a love letter to Tom Cruise productions - a short film I directed a trailer for and in which I got to star as the lead role.

Now as I work as a commercial diver to bring food on the table, I keep on developing several projects with the goal to move back to LA and make it professionally.

So yep, here's me.

I currently work on an epic western/horror series titled "Bad Moon Rising" and an adventure film called "Deep Sea" following the journey of a saturation diver called to rescue a team that mysteriously disappeared with an oil rig in the middle of the Indian Ocean.

Sounds all very exciting. I wish you much success! I'm currently trying to sell a horror script, which has gotten recognition at one contest...hoping for more in the future :)

Happy Holidays, Alain Leccia! Great to see you again. I really like your script titles! I can wait to watch them, especially Deep Sea!

Hell of a life story (so far). Much more interesting than mine lol. Nice to hear (read) it.

I love your approach to storytelling and think your skills could be a great match for my project. I’ve written a book, ENCUENTROS, about transformative encounters that explore spirituality, human connection, and emotional growth. I’d love to discuss the possibility of adapting it into a screenplay with you!"

Maria Baltazzi

Thanks for the introduction!

I love how you’ve built your career through a mix of acting, screenwriting, and directing while embracing unique genres like sci-fi and western horror. I’d love to hear more about how your work as a commercial diver influences your writing!

Looking forward to seeing more of your work!
