An Ape Coordinator is the choreographer who not only is the Movement Director but trains the Actors how to perform as Ape/Primates.
I was main Ape on "Tarzan and the Lost City" starring alongside Casper Van Dein(Starship Troopers), Jane Marsh and Steve Waddington(Last of the Mohicans).
The recent Tarzan feature film was a remake of the above!
That's cool, Brendan James Stapleton! I saw the recent Tarzan movie, but I need to check out Tarzan and the Lost City. Do you know if they used Ape Coordinators for the Planet of the Apes movies?

They used CGI with a Ballet trained Contemporary Choreographer who received a trip to Derby UK over seven days.
I was sent on location to the jungle in South Africa for seven weeks.
Good old technology!
