Very much like Picasso (albeit a better behaved person), Lynch emphasized maintaining the connection to one's childhood imagination as a path to creative wonder ad success. Man, the dude was cool.
You're welcome, Richard Mark Bazley. Wonderful tribute and paintings! You said, “His films I have discovered are like an onion (he would prefer to say doughnut!) multilayered and complex.” That’s one of the things that gets me excited about movies and shows, and that’s what I aim for with my scripts. And those are the movies and shows that I can learn things from – or notice things about – when I watch them over and over.

David Lynch was a fun guy, Willem Elzenga. One of the best ways to learn directing is to watch what directors do. Great share!
