To those who have not yet realized that scammers are real. After almost one year as a member here, I have again reported to Admin that I was contacted by a scammer.
I accepted a network request. The person encouraged me to send him my new screenplay. After a week he came back, willing to produce it. He was willing to spend 10,000 dollars, to start. If I contributed 40 % of the money. So in practice he asked for 4,000 dollars. I answered that I could use 4,000 dollars worth of film equipment if I directed it. He didn't like that answer.
His behavior was not believable, so I told Admin. Scammers are so common that any serious person asking for other members' money would try to show that they are honest.
The case gave me an idea for a comedy. A scammer contacts a potential victim. The victim answers "I am unable to send you money but I can send 100,000 dollars worth of film equipment". The scammer understands that the customs will ask for 10,000 dollars in duty, but hopes he can earn 30,000 dollars from selling the equipment. After paying, the scammer realizes that he has received broken equipment.

Stage 32 is definitely one of the best sites at getting rid of bots and fake accounts thankfully. All you have to is report the suspicious account to support@stage32.com and the team will remove them from the platform. With 1.2 million people on the platform, we do our best, but unfortunately scammers are everywhere these days. And it goes without saying, no producer should ever be asking you for $$$ up front ever.

I've always wondered should you name this "scammer" so that other Stage32 members are aware to stay away from the scam???

I was in touch with two ladies from here and they were scammers. They’re accounts are deleted. She asked me for $2000 and she will produced my script, I told her you know I working 50 hours a week in supermarket, have 4 children and my budget is tight so I have available just £70 and cannot touch on our emergency savings and she told me “that’s fine you can borrow money” I was surprised and just little bit googled about her and when I ask her about name of her movie what she directed she wasn’t able to tell me any correct names of her movies..
Names of the ladies were: Isabel Herguera and
Miriam Porte ( but their accounts are deleted or suspended)

Refer the classic scammer takedown: "p-p-p-powerbook".
https://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=1016390
Summarizing the long, long, long thread: A guy legitimately listed his old Apple Powerbook on eBay. A scammer tried to purchase it via the usual fraudulent Western Union payment method. Smelling a rat, the seller alerted the Something Awful forum and so everybody there gleefully piled in to screw the scammer. And they did, by making the scammer — who was in the UK — pay a buttload of duty and tax on an expensive item... only, they sent him a fake Powerbook (with the name "p-p-p-powerbook" scrawled on it in magic market).

Dear Petra, I am the person who informed the real Isabel Herguera that a scammer had stolen her identity. Because that scammer tried to scam me too. And then I told our Admin.

Göran Johansson Yes, they usually make it look like they're giving you money, and then you will pay them out of that. My mom dealt with Sorry that you had to encounter yet another one of these cheesy little sardines.
