Pitching is one part of the industry you can’t hide from.
We are constantly pitching whether it is to get money, attach talent, option your script, getting a distributor on board and beyond. Sometimes you have 60 seconds standing in line for coffee or on an “elevator”, and other times it is a formal pitch that allows you 10 plus minutes. With all pitches, the truth is- You’ve got one shot and that pitch determines whether someone will ask to read the script so you better make that one chance count.
Knowing how to pitch in any scenario is key and it starts with knowing you, your brand and your material inside and out. Preparation and practice are both key and in this class you will receive the tools needed to craft your own pitch and be able to discern what is most appropriate when. will help you in any situation and makes sure that you are prepared when given an opportunity that could make or break your career.

There is nobody better in the industry to teach this course than Chris Lockhart. I met with him and was blown away by his experience and the projects that he's help navigate forward. Huge films. This is an exciting class - flagging for my network and sharing with creatives I know that want to get films off the ground. Thanks, Sydney S!

To introduce myself: I'm Katharine Panzella, an Atlanta-based screenwriter. I love to write action-adventures. I learned to fly, married a pilot, have piloted small Cessna’s, and can fly a commercial jet in a simulator. My life has been action-packed, from riding horses to diving with sharks off Moorea. My scripts have placed in numerous contests. I'm writing a WWII script, CLIPPER, into a novel. I've written a femily action-adventure set on Bali, BALI BREAKS, a thriller set in Georgia, PASSPORT TO PERIL, a ROMANCING THE STONE meets the LOST CITY adventure, FINDING ATLANTIS, and a children's pilot and chapter book, CANTAR THE MAGIC GUITAR.

I'm Mark Furney. I have a profile under that name, but for some reason I got signed up under a different email and it created a new "account" for me and I'm trying to get this class switched over to that i.d. I'm looking forward to this. Christopher is simply a great teacher. I'm a former trial attorney. I enjoy writing legal, political thrillers. A few of my favorite films are The Verdict, Michael Clayton, Chinatown. So, that may give you an idea of the kind of film I'd like to try to write. I'm truly looking forward to online meeting fellow classmates!!

Hello, everyone. I'm Dele Fadahunsi from Lagos, Nigeria. I've produced and directed lots of brand communication videos and events, but now working on my first movie -- a cybercrime thriller (we've come a long way from Nigerian prince emails!)
The story starts out in Atlanta, and my grand vision is for the film to attract a global audience. So I'll be spending the month of June travelling across the US, looking for investors, distributors, actors and production partners to make it happen.
See how badly I need this class!

I'm assuming there will be a video link I can access next week - go on with the class if there's a hassle on my end. Carry on !! :)
Christopher, I never got a link to join. Finally found the link, waited to be let in to class for a half hour. PLEASE SEND ME A LINK!!! No-one to help me get into your class so I am very annoyed at this point. All I get is adds for more classes and never got an email with a link. Please send em a link ASAP today for next week's class. Sincerely disappointed Janice Carlberg!
