Nathan Smith

July Filmmakers Club

My goal for this month is to finish a script I've been asked to write for a director friend.

Maurice Vaughan

Hey, Nathan Smith. Congratulations on the writing job! I'm rooting for you to finish this month!

Nathan Smith

Maurice Vaughan Thank you very much!

Maurice Vaughan

You're welcome, Nathan Smith. What's the genre(s)? And what kind of script is it (short, feature, etc.)? If you can say.

Nathan Smith

Maurice Vaughan It's a feature thriller/period piece.

Eon C. Rambally

Congratulations, Nathan Smith! Great spirit!

Maurice Vaughan

A Thriller Period Piece sounds interesting, Nathan Smith! I'll like to write a Period Piece one day. I'll probably mix it with another genre. Looking forward to seeing the movie!

Mugs Cahill

"Period" stories are one of my favorite things to write. The term is so overused because . It's an easy excuse phrase used by decision makers who either don't want to make the project or don't have the vision necessary to make a project budget work. I read an interesting article on period pieces. Not sure how to post it to this, but am happy to DM to you.

Nathan Smith

Mugs Cahill Sounds fascinating. Would love to read it.

Cyrus Sales

Nathan Smith good luck with your script. I'm working on one right now (which is not in my wheel house) but all we can do is try right?

Nathan Smith

Cyrus Sales It's always good to stretch your creative muscle by tackling new and different projects.

Leonardo Ramirez 2

Rooting for you Nathan Smith to get that done and that everything just flows.

R.A. Lee

I made a goal of two by June - WooHoo! I did it and I have a full-time job and a part time gig and other stuff. It seems easier to produce the more I have going on. The FOCUS is amazing, but not when it's the ONLY thing you are doing.

Maurice Vaughan

Congratulations on reaching your goals, R.A. Lee!

Sydney S

Rooting for you Nathan!

TJ Cooley

Always a challenge, hopefully you've got some good bones to build from and you make your goal.

Nathan Smith

Linda Bradshaw-Rogers It's been going great. Have a solid outline and plugging right along.

R.A. Lee

How far along are you now?

Ashley Renee Smith

That’s a fantastic goal, Nathan Smith! There’s nothing like writing with a purpose and a collaborator in mind, it really sharpens the focus.
