It’s the weekend — and I’m curious what everyone’s working on. Sometimes it’s outlining (unless you're me), sometimes it’s revising, and sometimes it’s just daydreaming about the next idea.
What’s on your creative plate this weekend? And do you have a ritual that helps you dive in?

Hi, Kat Spencer. Hope you had a great week! I plan on outlining some script ideas this weekend. I just open Microsoft Word and start outlining. What’s on your creative plate this weekend?

Maurice Vaughan Nice! That sounds relaxing. (Or am I weird?) I plan to keep working away on my websites and YouTube, lots to do to share what I've already created. Feel a couple of articles percolating in my brain that I might write for Medium.

I’m hoping to write more for RoP this weekend including tonight since this week my energy has been kinda bad ^^; if I can’t do that I might recharge by watching Boondocks or some other show if I find one.

I've finished my first Christmas Rom-Com so I'm waiting back to hear from the coverage I purchased through Stage 32. I'm looking forward to hearing what they say so I can pull it apart and know where I went wrong :)

I am in the middle of an edit pass of my romantic adventure script.
Act 2b was a bit of a stumble in previous drafts.

Kat Spencer, I came up with a new character for my animated series What the Mack? She will be introduced at the start of season two. She is in a wheelchair and captivates the town.

I’m writing the most explicit horror feature I did so far. It’s about monsters and people, but the real monsters are within, aren’t they?
In my logline section there’s one about the feature ‘Myths’. You can have a look if you like.

I’ve been writing TV shows. They’re proper sequels. They continue where the original movies and original TV shows left off.

Hello. I'm struggling with whether I'm even good enough for this industry. It's great to be here and read all your comments; it's motivating.
How long has it been since you wrote your first script and had your doubts?
I'm currently revising my first script and am almost finished. Do you have any tips for finding the motivation to keep working on it alongside your other job?
Thanks,
Alexandra

Alexandra Piwowarski , hello from an American in Germany. I only started in April and have zero doubt in my own abilities. Yes, I have things to learn. However, I would much rather just do something instead of worrying about if I can do it all. I do not worry if my script or my song is as good as others.

Congratulations on the progress with your script, Alexandra Piwowarski! I have doubts with every script I write. I find motivation by watching movies, shows, & videos, rereading my script outline, talking with other members on Stage 32, and reading posts and blogs on here.

I’m working overtime at my regular job, but when I get off I am finishing up a proposal I started on Wednesday. I like to let my stuff simmer then go back to it and see if it still sounds good to me. I do this on my scripts but usually give them a month or so before revisiting them. I also have 3 or so unfinished scripts I check on to see if the block is gone and good ideals pour out again. So far I have finished 2 movie scripts 1 hour long animation pilot and 1 forty minute TV pilot this way. I have ADHD and that’s how I deal with it also.

Hopefully if I have time more of the companion novel to the animated series I'm trying to start.

Kat Spencer Usually, when there's a major blockbuster boxing or UFC event — like the one Netflix is hosting today (Canelo vs. Crawford) — it tends to run until around midnight. Honestly, I don't think I'll be doing any writing until after, maybe :)

I've been doing another pass on my book 4 outline. I do multiple passes, each one adding more layers and detail until I feel really confident in it.
