I’ve been searching for a cinematographer for a while now. I’ve posted this request several times in the Jobs section, but it seems like everyone is caught up in their own “personal apocalypse”. Honestly, I’m not sure what the best way to find the right person is, so I thought I’d ask for some guidance. Because at this rate, my job posts are starting to feel just like the title of my film Expire—slowly expiring themselves

You could search for a cinematographer in the Browse Members section, Muhammad Abed Baryal. www.stage32.com/people?name=&location=&roles=Cinematographer

Maurice's advice is spot on — reaching out directly to cinematographers could open up more options for you. Also, most working professionals appreciate having key details up front, like pay rate, shoot dates, and project scope.
Speaking from experience, it happens often that someone asks me to read a script and hear their vision, only to then ask for a quote. The reality is, we’re all busy. A simple message like, “Hi, I have a 30-page script, we're shooting on [X date], and the budget for a DP is [$X],” goes a long way and shows respect for everyone’s time.

Thank you, Stephen Folker that’s really helpful advice. I’ll make sure to include those key details up front when reaching out.
