Not sure if anyone noticed, but some would say that October was a dry month for films, but remember when we had a slew of anime movies in theaters, and it was the biggest box office hit? I've known for quite some time how big anime is, especially amongst younger audiences who are able to find cult classics on any streaming service. Films like Demon Slayer and Chainsaw Man dominated the box office as well as re-releases like Perfect Blue! The key with these hits is that they've already cultivated an audience from their television predecessor, but for the big screen. Taking the shows that people are already obsessed with, and giving them movie-level animation!
Maybe I can get a new Kuroko No Basket movie!

Thanks for sharing the article, Sam Rivera. I've been thinking about writing anime. I need to watch more anime and read some anime scripts. I think a Stage 32 webinar about writing/making anime would be a great idea!

Japan isn't the only country with great animated movies. My favorite animated movie is 'Flow', from Latvia. A classic for sure!

I agree with you. I have also observe the same. Anime series is also booming. I would learn to write and produce Anime in the future. Can anyone guide me what can be my first step for that ?
Also There is a recent add on netflix named 'Mahavtar Narsimah ' . It is also a good anime experience. Really good movie based on Hindu Mythology.

You're right, anime is popular, and anime movies are also popular. However, there's a problem: anime that has an established audience and fan base is more successful. Not all anime movies are successful, but only the ones that stand out. I doubt that anime can replace comics and become a new trend in cinema.
