We love to hear from you <3

Hey, Sandra Isabel Correia. Hope you're having a great week! I played Tomb Raider growing up. I like the movies. I would be Iron Man. He's a superhero, he's really smart, he comes up with cool tech, he's rich, and he's funny. I'd be a lot of characters actually.

Iron Man, Maurice Vaughan, I love that! ahahah, good choice :)) He's a superpower like you :)) Me too, on my Playstation, I played with Tom Raider :)) Happy IYW, my friend.

Love this Sandra Isabel Correia - my daughter plays Tomb Raider and sometimes I'll sit and watch her play. Such a fun game even just to watch. When she was young, my daughter thought I was Superman. Now, she thinks I'm either Batman or the Martian Manhunter - an introspective alien that she says is full of wisdom, can read minds, very quiet and only feels comfortable around certain people.

Working on a Christmas script collaboration with my writing partner, because 'tis the season ... My favorite film character is Tom Reagan, the protagonist from Miller's Crossing. I'm a huge Coen brothers fan, and of all their quirky characters, Tom appeals to me the most. His quiet strength, his desire to do the right thing, until he's backed into a corner and fights his way out. Though, I can't quite pull off the fedora look the way Gabriel Byrne can.

My name is Meriem Bouziani, and I’m a sci-fi author and a sci-fi screenwriter in the making. I work across many different worlds, but right now I’m focusing on The Silent PFC War; when humanity lost its access to the prefrontal cortex.
As for the kind of character I would be: I think it's someone who fights in disguise to reach her dreams. That’s why I call myself the SciFiSpy.”

Happy Introducing Yourself Weekend, Sandra Isabel Correia! Lara Croft is one of my favorite characters; she is adventurous and unstoppable. I think I would enjoy being a character from Jumper, teleporting everywhere, experiencing a next level of freedom.

Haha I love this, Leonardo Ramirez 2 !Tomb Raider is such a blast, Lara Croft has always been my “if I were a character” pick, so I totally get the fun of watching it played. And I think it’s amazing that your daughter sees you as Superman, Batman, and Martian Manhunter… That says a lot about the wisdom and quiet strength she sees in you. Oh, and here’s a little secret: I actually picked your name, Leo, for one of the secondary characters in my script The Misstep. So now you’re officially part of my story too ;))) Happy IYW my friend.

Love this, Erik Gagnon! A Christmas script collaboration sounds like the perfect seasonal project, and I can’t wait to hear more about it. And Tom Reagan is such a brilliant choice. The Coen brothers really know how to craft those layered, morally complex characters, and Tom’s quiet strength makes him unforgettable.
Haha, and don’t worry about the fedora, Gabriel Byrne set the bar pretty high for all of us! Happy IYW :))

Bill McCormick, that’s such a fantastic choice! The Flash is all about speed, energy, and breaking limits, so I love that you picked him. Even if walking feels tough, imagining yourself zipping around at lightning speed is pretty awesome. Plus, The Flash has that mix of humor and heart that makes him one of the most relatable heroes out there. Good choice :))

Meriem Bouziani, Wow,, The Silent PFC War sounds absolutely fascinating losing access to the prefrontal cortex is such a powerful sci-fi concept! I love how you’re building worlds that challenge how we think about humanity and its future.
And calling yourself the SciFiSpy is brilliant, a character who fights in disguise to reach her dreams feels both mysterious and inspiring. It really captures the spirit of science fiction: pushing boundaries while staying true to your vision. Looking forward to know more. Happy IYW :))

I didn’t forget your message, and I’ll be replaying it this weekend because it’s such a beautiful reminder of why I love being here with all of you. My pleasure to meet you, Autumn Carpenter. Sometimes it’s impossible to pick just one character, we’re all made up of so many layers, and different sides of us shine in different moments. I think it’s awesome that you’d be a few different ones, because that shows versatility and imagination. Happy IYW!

Thank you, Dwayne Williams 2. Happy Introducing Yourself Weekend to you too! I love that you connect with Lara Croft, adventurous and unstoppable is exactly why she’s my pick.
And wow, being a character from Jumper sounds incredible, teleporting everywhere, living with that kind of freedom, and experiencing the world in a whole new way… that’s next-level awesome!
Now I’m curious :) where’s the first place you’d teleport to if you had that power?

The idea grew out of what I was learning about human brain physiology, especially the role of the prefrfrontal cortex in handling the hard-thinking tasks — decision-making, critical reasoning, and the entire architecture of adult cognition.
So I asked myself a simple but dangerous question: What would happen if we lost access to this cortex?
From that point, the madness expanded little by little until it became mature enough to develop into a screenplay — and perhaps one day, a film or a three-episode TV series.

Sandra Isabel Correia, nice to see you as always. These long distance glasses work wonders. I ordered them from the back of a cereal box. If I could be any character at all, I think I would be Jack, as in Jack and the Beanstalk, or maybe Jack be nimble, or maybe Jack Nicholson, but hopefully never Jackass.

Richard "RB" Botto, thank you my friend :) You are always so kind with me, with us. I decided to be playful this IYW because we also need to have some fun :)) this is for you RB: If I’m Lara Croft, adventurous, unstoppable, always chasing the next challenge, then you must be Indiana Jones . Two explorers leading the way, uncovering treasures, and inspiring others to join the adventure.
Or maybe you can be Professor X, guiding and connecting a global community of creatives, just like you do with Stage 32 :))
Either way, we’d make quite the duo :))) Have a great IYW RB.

I once wanted to become a neuroscientist, but I didn’t achieve that goal. Still, the passion never left me. I kept learning on my own, and that curiosity.
Now I’m a sci-fi author completely obsessed with neuro-themed worlds — it’s my way of exploring the field I love from a different path.

Sandra Isabel Correia, I always love seeing your Introduce Yourself Weekend posts, you bring so much heart and clarity to this community. And everyone who comes through our webinars is going to feel instantly supported because of you, just like the lounges.
If I were any character, I’d absolutely be Lily from How I Met Your Mother. A little chaotic, very loyal, tries to keep everyone connected, fiercely protective of her people, and always scheming to help friends find their path, it feels a little too on the nose!
Here’s to another great IYW and another season of helping creatives find their footing. So grateful to work alongside you, my friend.
