A reintroduction is welcome, and in order with the falling leaves, and the closing out of the old season, and the "past", "done" version of me, who not too long ago, leveled up with Stage 32.
My name is Juliana Philippi, and I am an actor, also a screenwriter, and an artist who loves to bring characters, stories, and challenges to life. Since I first started learning, and rising thanks to Stage 32, I have pitched to over 10 producers, development execs, agents, and have gotten 2 requests so far for my feature drama screenplay, "A House for the Flowers", and still waiting on the results for my comedy feature screenplay, "Hotel Puerto Rico", and my thriller, "Doppelganger". I am currently working on my first Holiday/Christmas feature screenplay, set in Texas, and is filling me with such hope, love, and joy as I write it, and is teaching me as I type away, how different every screenwriting experience is.
It is a privilege, and a responsibility to work, and know this is what I do. Act, interpret, co-create, write and bring to audiences worldwide stories that, somehow, will affect change in at least, one person.
I love what I do, and look forward to meeting likeminded professionals, and future producers, colleagues, collaborators, and even directors, as an actor, and a screenwriter.

Hi, Juliana Philippi. Congratulations on all your success on Stage 32, and I hope you have more! What's Doppelganger about?

Maurice Vaughan Thank you! Lol, I love this thriller, Doppelganger is about estranged twin sisters in San Juan, Puerto Rico, who find each other "by chance", separated by birth by their mother and father, who were CIA spies, and are now sleeper cells, to protect them from black governments from finding them, since they were given a serum at birth, that could be used as a design to weaponize human's powers. It's super fun, and set on the island of Puerto Rico, but with lots of CIA, thriller vibes, a diverse cast from all over the world. I love it.

Juliana, this is such a beautiful reintroduction. Thank you for sharing your journey with us! Two script requests and three projects actively out to executives is real momentum. That's not luck. That's craft. And persistence paying off. The industry needs more hyphenates who understand story from both sides of the camera.Welcome back to the community!

Maurice Vaughan Thanks!!! I love this thriller script, the details and moving parts for this type of story were puzzling, so I get it, the outline was definitely crucial, I would have been so lost without it. Would love to know more about yours, or just a bit!

You're welcome, Juliana Philippi. My idea is basically a man who fights his doppelgangers. My second goal for Stage 32's November Write Club is outline and write a short script. I might turn my Doppelganger idea into a short script.

Maurice Vaughan Love that, ooohh so much to play with, the location, ah, I just love these type of simple, but very open ideas, and thrillers are just such fast paced, simple things, but you can change the tone and flavor with the location, and the characters, and just make super cool and unique. Bon chance, and go at it, get that outline, and make that short!

Juliana Philippi, it's wonderful to see your growth—two script requests from 10+ pitches shows you're connecting with industry professionals effectively. The range across drama, comedy, and thriller demonstrates versatility, though you may eventually want to establish a primary genre identity. Your dual actor-writer perspective gives you unique insight into character and performance. Keep that momentum going, and congrats on the holiday script bringing you joy during the process!Retry

Pat Alexander Thank you Pat, I really appreciate that, it is growth, learning, and just doing the thing. I love writing, and sometimes it just wants to come out! Lol. I do have a core voice though, lots of female-driven stories, genre-bending tones, and challenging plots…yet, more refinement will come: ) Indeed!
