They say a "misstep" is a mistake, but in filmmaking, it’s often where the truth begins.
I’m so honored to share my recent interview with the Liverpool Indie Awards, where I talk about my directorial debut, The Misstep, and my mission to use cinema as a tool for social responsibility.
For me, this project is about more than just suspense; it’s about Subjective Realism. It’s about plunging the audience into the internal world of ADHD and mental health, turning the "unspoken" into a visceral, cinematic experience.
Coming from a global business background, I’ve learned that structure is vital, but Stage 32 taught me that community is the heartbeat of every frame. I truly could not have reached this stage, as a Finalist at Manchester Lift-Off and an Official Selection at LIA, without the incredible support of my global film family.
We are just getting started. From the BFI in London to the upcoming festivals in Liverpool and Manchester, the journey of The Misstep and my upcoming project Soul Mated is a reminder:
“What is meant for you will always find you.”
