I always find stuff like this very inspiring. Even adjusted for inflation, the most expensive still came in just over $500K , which is still "almost" nothing these days. I hope this will remind members that it is possible, and just go for it! Reading about things like, script improvs in CLERKS, wheelchairs for dollys in EL MARIACHI and avoiding 'permits' in Pi, reminds me of my own filmmaking experiences. Kevin Smith, John Carpenter, Roger Corman, Darren Aronofsky, Edward Burns, Richard Linklater, BLAIR WITCH, Robert Rodriguez: Here's to the potential in all of us!! http://www.toptenz.net/top-10-movies-made-for-less-than-100000.php?utm_s...
Agreed. but I think it came in at $15,000, still nothing. I have a personal sore spot for Blair Witch because I had written a totally similar thing set in a graveyard 3 years before Blair Witch had even started to shoot. All I got out of it was regected.
Is it possible to film a feature film with a camcorder, amature actors, doing the filiming, scripting, special effects, directing and editing all yourself and still make a quality product?
What? No Eraserhead? Great list regardless. PI is brilliant.
