How many people actually check their spam folder on a regular basis? Not many I'm sure. We just learned first hand how important this is. We had a few submissions sitting in there, but we also had a submission from mandy.com of someone we really liked, we asked her to confirm an audition and she never replied. A week later she submitted again from mandy.com for another character. Again, she didn't reply for an audition. Sadly we have no phone number and can only assume our emails went right to her spam folder since we replied directly to her email. So if you wonder why you don't hear back from people, make sure you check that spam folder. The email companies are good at spam filter, but sometimes it can't recognize if it's spam or not and just put it right in the spam folder. It sucks for everyone!
That might be true. But it also might be true! lol I feel bad this actor has submitted twice, for two different roles, presumably thinking it's because we had a lot of submissions for the first role and she never got the audition email.... You never know. Don't rank it as #2, one day it may happen to you.
Its true. I always scan mine each week. Almost missed a job opportunity!

And don't be late. Many yrs. ago I was casting for a PSA in NYC studio. A young actress from CT called to say she would be late to audition, say around 7 pm. I explained we couldn't wait, had to shoot at 7 pm. She sighed and hung up. Her name was Meg Ryan.
