New Nevada film law

I'm not sure if I picked the right topic header, but I didn't see any other "best fit". This past Gnu Year's Eve, a new film incentive law went into effect here in the state of Nevada. Basically it sets up a tax incentive on film projects generated by local producers or by producers from out of state. From my understanding, it matters not who brings the project to be filmed here. The provisions applies to productions of a minimum $500,000 and maximum of $45 million (some have said it is $25 million - I'll have to research that further to clarify). The condition to qualify for the tax incentive is that a minimum of 60% of the production costs MUST be spent on local services, supplies and in hiring talent and crew that are Nevada residents. Chris Baum, formerly of Detroit, Michigan's Metro Convention & Visitors Bureau, was hired and moved to Reno to promote this effort and is now President & CEO at Reno Tahoe USA based in Reno, Nevada. http://filmrenotahoe.com/ Jeff D. Spilman, a founder and managing partner of S3 Entertainment Group (S3), was also recruited for promoting this new incentive. Jeff Spilman was also very instrumental in helping write this new law for the state of Nevada based on his experience with creating the legislation for Michigan. If anyone is interested in knowing more, please feel free to ask on this post and I'll do my best to answer your questions.
