"Creative Quotes for $800, Alex."

Here's the challenge, rather than a rote memory exercise: Come up with a movie quote (or literary, if you like) that everyone knows. Then spin it off in a new direction! For example, take this one from "A Streetcar Named Desire", but geared toward directors: "I've always depended on the kindness of actors." or "I've always depended upon the kindness of strange (aren't they all? ;-) ) actors." or "I've always depended upon the strangeness of actors."

Amber Dannehl

A brainstorming session or some interview where both Cronenberg and Viggo Mortensen are present and at some point one of them says something and (for example) Viggo's automatic reaction is "Jesus David" and Cronenberg without missing a beat looks at him and says "Jesus Viggo" and they end up cracking up at their accidental sort-of quoting of 'A History of Violence'. Or if people were trying to film what should be a really easy scene but keep messing up and it's been a long day the director looks at his or her actors/actresses and goes "How do you f*ck that up?"

That works for me! ;-)

"If my calculations are correct, when this baby hits 88 pages... you're gonna see one serious script."

That's great! LOL! That line takes me way back - back to the future! ;-)
