I'm trying to figure out how to write a 2-3 minute promotional trailer for my script for fundraising purposes. Does anyone know of any rules/tricks/books/advice when it comes to structuring promotional trailers? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Irina, off the top of my head I would say to follow the same classic structure as in writing a complete script, only condense it to your 2 or 3 minute time frame. Choose the most intriguing moments that tell the story, but leave them hungering for more. Think in terms of "Coming Attractions".
Most trailer's I've seen are more like coming attractions. Make it as professional as possible and make the production value's stand out. You want to impress your audience. I think it's more important to let the film sell itself!
